Welcome!

First of all – congratulations! You have started at upper secondary school and are about to embark on the next leg of your journey towards improving and expanding your English. You have already come a long way and acquired skills that many other learners of English would be envious of.

However, there is a saying in English: “You can take a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.” In other words, you can’t learn a language without wanting to and without making an effort.

The rewards for making this effort are enormous – much larger and more important than the grade you get at the end of the year.

We hope you will find the book and this supplementary website both enjoyable and rewarding to use.

Good luck in your studies!
